Sandy Plencner

LPC-IT

As a counselor, I strive to support you, give you room to access your own wisdom, recognize that you are the expert on your own life, and collaborate with you to make the hard stuff easier to sit with. A favorite quote of mine is from a poem which states, “Let yourself just be, even in the uncertainty. You don’t have to fix everything. You don’t have to solve everything. And you can still find peace and grow in the wild of changing things.”

I provide services to adolescents and adults in individual therapy. I use an eclectic, mindfulness, person-centered approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s individual needs. I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment. I use humor, creativity, empathy, patience, cultural awareness, and self-awareness with my clients. I also have an extensive background working in human services, along with background as a first responder. Outside of therapy, you can find me reading, practicing my photography skills, or spending time with my cat.
