Medication can only be prescribed when an agency has a licensed doctor of psychiatry on staff and is licensed as a prescribing agency. Oakwood provides therapy services but does not have a doctor of psychiatry on staff to prescribe medication, so we are not able to prescribe medication.

Insurance benefits can sometimes be confusing and overwhelming, especially when trying to find out about your mental health benefits. At Oakwood Clinical Associates, we will contact your insurance company and attempt to obtain benefits information regarding your mental health benefits. Before your first session, you will receive a phone call from us explaining your benefits so that you know what to expect at your first visit.
Please note that the information you receive regarding your insurance benefits is only the information we obtain on your behalf from your insurance company. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information until your claims pay out.
If we are informed by your insurance company that you have an unmet deductible, a co-payment and/or a coinsurance as part of your plan, that amount will be due at the time of service.
We accept many insurances including (but not limited to):
Medicaid HMOs (Molina, Anthem BCBS, and CCHP)
EAPs (Employee Assistance Programs)
and regular health insurances acquired through the Marketplace, yours or your family member’s employer, or private insurance. Common health insurance plans that we accept are Molina, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan, UMR, United Health Care, and WEA Trust.
If you don’t see your insurance on this list, that doesn’t mean we don’t accept it. Please call our office to verify whether we take yor insurance. Our friendly office staff will be glad to help you out!
