Counseling Interns

Counseling interns are in graduate school and working toward a master’s degree in counseling or social work. They are being trained as counselors and, in addition to their lived experience, are gaining experience in counseling under the supervision of an experienced, licensed counselor.

Many people enjoy working with counseling interns because they have the latest information in the field and an open template as to therapeutic styles that can be used to help you get to where you want to be in life.

Counseling interns can work with clients on many of the same issues as fully-licensed counselors, including, but not limited to:

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • trauma

  • grief

  • anger

  • adjustment disorders

  • attention deficit and hyperactivity

  • obsessions and compulsions

  • adolescent behaviors

  • family issues

  • behavior struggles

  • grief and loss

  • setting goals

  • and more
